Switchfoot – Hello Hurricane
- Who: The veteran Christian band who’s also dominated a lot of secular alt-rock charts.
- What: Follow-up to the greatest hits album last year, their seventh studio album, and half of the new music in production (another new album to come in ‘10)
- Why: If you’ve rocked with them in the past, there’s no reason to believe they’ll give up their formula now. Consistently solid rock.

DOOM – Unexpected Guests
- Who: The eclectic, masked rapper best known for his collaborative work with Danger Mouse and Madvillian
- What: Personally selected tracks from the DOOM archives of some of his favorite work as well as unreleased tracks.
- Why: It’s not exactly a greatest hits compilation because it’s not greatest hits, rather a b-sides and collaborations album. Still there’s rarely anything from DOOM that sucks.

Dashboard Confessional – Alter the Ending
- Who: One of emo’s biggest names since the early 00’s and a college rock favorite.
- What: The sixth studio album, boasting some slick production.
- Why: Their sound has gotten stronger with each album, and if this is your proverbial cup-o-tea, it should be a favorable listen.
(other 11/10 releases: Caroline Herring, Snow Patrol (greatest hits), Echo & The Bunnymen, Philip Glass, Tori Amos, Bon Jovi, Githead, Lissie)
